Donepezil is generic equivalent of Aricept, it is used for Treatment of mild-to-moderate dementia of the Alzheimer's type. What is Generic Aricept (Donepezil)Generic Aricept belong to calss Reversible cholinesterase inhibitor. Generic Donepezil Increases acetylcholine by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, thereby increasing cholinergic function. Generic Aricept (Donepezil) Dosage or AdministrationADULTS: PO 5 mg once daily. May increase to 10 mg qd after 4 to 6 wks. Precautions for Taking Generic Aricept (Donepezil)Pregnancy: Category C. Lactation: Undetermined. Children: Safety and efficacy not established.
